Baths Join Budapest Tourism Campaign

BGYH, the company which runs Budapest’s city-owned thermal baths, has reached a strategic agreement with tourism promotion agency Magyar Turizmus. BGYH will be a main sponsor of the Budapest Winter Invitation campaign, which offers guests a free third or fourth night in a Budapest hotel along with free entry to the Széchenyi, Gellért, Rudas and Lukács baths.

The city of Budapest has begun to turn street lights on later than previously in the hope of saving Ft 66 million in the second half, news website Index reports. The city council made the decision on June 20, said city public lighting company BDK.

Budapest Airport has converted the area in front of the now disused Terminal 1 into a Park and Ride facility, with parking for 128 vehicles, it was announced on Friday. The train station connecting Liszt Ferenc International Airport to the city’s Nyugati station is only a two-minute walk from the parking area, spokesman Mihály Hardy noted.
