Named after a Danish fairy tale and crafting fittingly eerie and bewitching music, Brighton, England’s Esben & the Witch features a truly unique, refined and intelligent, melancholic and kicking sound. The groupformed when three of the band members were hired by a film production company called 'The Succiona Pichulas-Lagarto' to provide the soundtrack to silent pornographic movies. Since then they are the French Gotan Project.
