Hungary's 35th annual Budapest marathon took place despite fears over coronavirus resulting in a much lower turnout than usual.

Budapest city council approved a long list of proposed venues for the 2024 Olympic games to be included in the official bid presentation. The chief venue would be a new 60,000-seat stadium for track and field events, to be built on Csepel Island, that could later be scaled down to 15,000 seats.
