There were many wonderful art pieces. We are so proud to have had such a fantastic turn out of talent. This project is aimed at making visual improvements to the living surroundings of a person, a place, and in particular a shelter, by exposure to creative artistic works.

I have the distinct feeling that something is afoot in Hungary, something the self-satisfied Orbán government is not prepared for. I see the beginnings of a movement that may well overcome the current apathy and resignation of Hungarian society and produce active resistance to the Orbán regime.

A young Hungarian photographer’s picture is to be exhibited at the Louvre, the world’s most famous museum, the artist has disclosed on her Facebook page. “My picture will be exhibited in Paris at Louvre!!!”, 22-year-old Flóra Borsi’s entry reads. Béla Kása was born in Pécs in 1952 and graduated in photography from the College of Fine Arts in Cologne in 1979. His photographic journals of folk art were inspired by his travels in Transylvania in 1973, during which time he fell under the spell of the region’s centuries-old traditions and folk music.
