More than half of Hungarians below the age of 40 support marriage, according to a survey by Kód Market, Opinion and Media Research Institute commissioned by online news portal 888.hu. Fully 56% of the survey’s respondents agreed with the statement that “marriage forms the basis of a regular family life”, the website said.

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) found no evidence of insider trading or market manipulation when the government pulled contracts with Magyar Telekom in retaliation for the firing of a pop star whose views on women were apparently in synch with the views of the government, state news agency MTI reported.
