'Anilogue International Animation Film Festival', Now On Until 3 December

The 15th Anilogue International Animation Film Festival lines up the best of the world’s animation films for cartoon lovers for the 15th time in Budapest between November 29 and December 3. The screenings will take place in Uránia National Film Theatre and Kino Cinema.

I first visited Budapest in 1982. I came with some friends on the overnight train from Warsaw, where I was working at the British Embassy. Howling dogs and misty border crossings - it was like living in a John le Carré novel. Budapest was shrouded in freezing fog all weekend but I still fell in love with the city.

Organizers of the VOLT festival in Sopron announced this Monday the first five names of next year’s lineup, including world stars Iron Maiden and the Depeche Mode. The festival, held between 26 and 30 June in 2018, will be opened by David Gahan’s legendary band on the first Tuesday. Early bird tickets will go on sale on 23rd of November 2017.
