Sausage Festival In Budapest, 13 - 15 October

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.
Minister Heading Prime Minister’s Office: Mandatory Quotas Have Failed

The mandatory immigrant distribution quotas have failed, János Lázár, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office stated at the press conference Governmentinfo 100 where he also said: the postal delivery of the national consultation questionnaires concerning the Soros plan has begun.
'Animal Festival', Budapest Zoo, 4 - 8 October

The five-day event includes several entertaining and educational programs, which animal and plant lovers shouldn't miss. The organisors also say they have interesting stories to tell visitors about, "species conversation, responsible animal husbandry, and bird protection". Best of all, child aged 0-14 years can enter for free!

Hungary has been declared free of avian influenza, according to the regulations of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the farm ministry said.
Insecticide Contamination Detected In Hungarian Eggs

The Hungarian food authority (Nébih) detected banned insecticide fipronil in one batch of Hungarian eggs, the authority said on Monday. The circumstances of the contamination are under investigation, Nébih said. The batch in question has been withdrawn from circulation, it said.
