Fully 591 electric or hybrid cars were registered between September 2015 and April 2016, receiving green licence plates for environmentally friendly cars, the daily Magyar Idők said. Green plates entitle owners to free parking and charging in some cities as well as a vehicle tax waiver.

Szitizens come already from 95 countries, so Sziget will once again become a giant multi-cultural gathering with 7 days of great music, arts and many more. However, the restaurant at the corner of Huszár and Munkás streets doesn’t offer a lot of ordinary things. Three rights organisations and a think-tank criticised a recent Kuria decision giving the green light to a government-initiated referendum on migrant quotas, in a joint statement. Citizens in the proposed referendum would be asked: “Do you want to allow the European Union to mandate the resettlement of non-Hungarian citizens in Hungary without the approval of parliament?”
