Tickets are now on sale for the 20th Annual Budapest Burns Supper to be held on 21 January 2016 at the Corinthia Hotel. The Robert Burns International Foundation looks forward to welcoming its guests again to the Grand Ballroom for a night of good food, fine wine and whisky, and an opportunity to try out some Scottish dancing!

The 60th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution is commemorated by a series of events at the Hungarian State Opera. Beside opera world premieres, ballet performances and symphonic concerts, exhibitions, international guest performances and an open day at the Opera House awaits audiences.

Throughout most of the 20th century, neon lights were the sign of progress and modernity – and behind the Iron Curtain, the illusion of it. Fixed upon the crumbling facades of the once magnificent buildings of post-war Budapest, neon lights beamed banal advertisements and Communist propaganda just like in any other country of the Eastern Bloc.
