'Nothing special' is the title given to one of the series awarded in this year’s Hungarian Press Photo Contest and Exhibition. These subtle, sensitive portraits filled with empathy depict marginalized people in society.

The head of the Anti-Terrorist Centre, János Hajdu, yesterday ordered that the streets around the National Museum be closed on March 15, when Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will give a speech in the museum garden. The decision affects the area where the Civil Society for the Democratic Hungary announced a demonstration on Múzeum körút on that day.

Hungary does not face any direct terrorist threat, János Hajdu, the head of the counter-terrorism centre (TEK), told public news channel M1. “TEK has not uncovered any information that would lead it to believe that the Hungarian people are under direct threat from possible terror plots,” Hajdu said, adding, however, that the country is under the same indirect threat as the rest of Europe.
