KSH: Hungary’s Home Building Permits Rise 39% In H1

The number of permits issued for new home construction in Hungary saw a year-on.year rise of 39.2%, reaching 5,581, in the first half of this year, while new permits were issued for a total area of 614,600 sqm, up 36%, a report by Hungary’s Central Statistical Office revealed today.
Hungarians Spending More On Summer Vacations

Spending by Hungarian families vacationing this summer is set to reach 151,000 forints (EUR 490), on average, 28% more than last summer, a representative survey by Budapest Bank shows. Fully 22% of vacationers are spending under 50,000 forints, while 23% are spending more than 200,000 forints.
