The first finds from the Hungarian Conquest period of the 10th century at Nagykörű, a village on the right bank of the River Tisza, 25 kilometres northeast of the town of Szolnok, were excavated in 1891. The cabinet has agreed to enter into a joint venture with Australian mining company Wildhorse Energy to assess the viability of reviving uranium mining in the Mecsek hills in the next six months.
