The US Senate on Tuesday voted 52-42 in favour of television producer Colleen Bell to be appointed as ambassador to Budapest, despite strenuous objections from Republican Senator John McCain. The Foreign Ministry endorsed her appointment in the autumn of last year.

British band Morcheeba celebrates the 20th anniversary of their career this year. In the middle of the 90s the Godfrey brothers (DJ Paul and Ross) founded the band with Skye Edwards (singer), they started to make trip hop music, and later on they started writing catchier pop songs.

The bill on establishing “fair banking” was filed in Parliament on Tuesday afternoon, Justice Minister László Trócsányi announced. The bill places new regulatory tasks on banks in providing information to clients and helping them to understand contracts.
Hungary’s Consumer Prices Fall 0.4% In Oct

Hungary’s annual consumer price index was negative 0.4% in October, slowing from a 0.5% decline in September. Emerging market analysts in London had put the October index between -0.1% and -0.3%. In a month-on-month comparison, consumer prices fell 0.3 % in October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.
