Magyar Telekom will invest in broadband internet connections for 230,000 Hungarian households as part of a deal that EU subsidies are not given for geographically parallel investments by other firms. Economy state secretary Ákos Kara told journalists that the Hungarian unit of Deutsche Telekom will build the networks with speeds of at least 30 Mbit/s by April 15, 2018.
