Hungary could become a member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in the second half of this year, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said. Hungary will not be a founding member but has applied to be an ordinary member, he told MTI after the list of founding members was finalised.

Parliament approved a law on setting up a fund to compensate people who suffered losses because of the bankruptcy of brokerage firm Quaestor. In line with the law approved with 185 votes for and 5 against, compensation can be claimed between May 6 and June 5.
IMF Raises Hungary 2015 Growth Forecast

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised its projection for economic growth in Hungary this year to 2.7% from 2.3% predicted last October. In its World Economic Outlook published Tuesday, the Fund said economic growth remained strong in Hungary but it is expected to decline this year on account of lower investment growth and less supportive fiscal conditions.
