From September 22 – October 1, 2016, the EYEFUL Festival is back for the fifth time, organized jointly by the Embassy of Switzerland, the Austrian Cultural Forum, and the Goethe-Institute. They are bringing to Budapest’s Művész Cinema the best of new films from German-speaking lands, including a number of prize winners.

One of the priorities at Ludwig Museum Budapest is to keep track of the contemporary art scenes and new tendencies of the Central and Eastern European region and the post-socialist countries. The exhibition presenting a selection of contemporary positions from the art scenes of Albania and Kosovo in the summer of 2016 is part of this tendency.

One school, English school of Budapest, has come up with an original year long intensive English programme to help them integrate educationally, academically and socially.

The government considers sports as a “strategic sector and a national cause”, János Lázár, the government office chief, told a weekly press briefing. The achievements of Hungary’s athletes in the 2016 Rio Olympics and in past years will help the country’s bid to host the Olympics, Lázár said. He called Hungary one of the most successful “sporting nations” in the world.
