'Hey, June', Celebration Of Local Pop, Palace of Arts Budapest, 6 - 9 June

The Hey, June! programme series is as old as Müpa Budapest itself. It was first held in 2005, and has taken place at the end of the academic year ever since, ushering in the holidays and the festival season as an in-house mini-festival that opens the door to every aspect of this new beginning, welcoming the summer and giving us good reason to celebrate.
Budapest Festival Orchestra: Music Fair & Family Day, Aquincum, 3 June

The BFO stage a day of free, family-friendly musical interaction at the Aquincum Museum and Archaeological Park.
Each 20-minute session takes place on the hour, from noon to 6pm, when top-notch violinists, woodwind players and a harpist perform in intimate surroundings, allowing the young ones to see how musicians actually play.

Summer Shows: Cultural Cavalcade Begins in Békéscsaba

A series of festivals will run until the end of August, at the cultural and artistic experience site now called Munkácsy Quarter (after the world renowned painter, Mihály Munkácsy, who started his career in Békéscsaba).

Born in Caracas, the artist Zeus Milenko Steven Salas currently lives and creates in Budapest. He left his home in Venezuela at a young age, to pursue gastronomy studies in Argentina. There, without any prior experience, he grabbed a brush and began painting – and he hasn’t stopped since.
