Charity Fair, Concerts & Community Performances at Maltese Advent Garden in Budapest
The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service will open an Advent garden at Batthyány Square, where they will welcome visitors with a nativity scene, hot tea, candle lighting, light painting in the evenings, stage programs, and a charity fair offering products from 11 Maltese factories.

The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service invites visitors to the courtyard to meet, talk and wait together during Advent weekends at the central building on Batthyány Square in Budapest.

A seat can be reserved at the nativity scene set up in the Maltese Advent Garden, a unique light painting will be visible on the facade, and guests will be welcomed with hot tea - the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service said in a press statement sent to MTI.

The nativity scene was designed by sculptor Pál Józsa based on the creative concept of Ágnes Hajnal, a staff member of the Charity Service, and was adapted to the characteristics of the courtyard by visual designer Vince Varga.

The sculptures placed in the space created by the Kreatív Műhely in Páty were made during the developmental sessions of the daycare center for people with disabilities in the 12th district. The facade is decorated with a light painting by András Megyeri, which will also display the Christmas creations of people with disabilities cared for in the institutions of the Charity Service.

Bands, street musicians, school communities, choirs, and theater groups are welcome to apply at adventikert@maltai.hu, who would like to share the joy of music and art in preparation for the holiday. You can join in with a short concert, or a song, a nativity play, or a collection of poems.

During the Advent weekends, the Maltese Garden stage, which is open from Friday to Sunday between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., will feature performances by Eszter Kárász, Richárd Borbély, Father Dobay, Emil Wagner and Barna Hárs.

Every Sunday from 4:30 p.m., there will be a joint Advent candle lighting with the spiritual groups of the Maltese Charity Service, led by Levente Balázs Martos, Auxiliary Bishop of Esztergom-Budapest.

At the charity fair, you can purchase products from the Charity Service's 11 factories employing disabled, disabled and disadvantaged workers, which will help support the workshops.

The fair will also feature artistic ceramics from the Kreatív Műhely in Páty, plush, ceramic and textile products from the factories in Zalaapáti, Csákánydoroszló, Ivánc and Kehidakustány, pieces from the ReKreáció collection, as well as recycled and reimagined creations from ReFarrmerrBank and ReFilc, and the special flavoured delicacies of the Máltai Manufaktúra - they highlight.
