Planning for the revamp of a major section of Budapest’s Ring Road linking Petofi Bridge and Margaret Bridge is set to begin this year, with the first stage of the renovation works expected to get under way next year, Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony said.

With the elections coming up in a few months, dedication fever is taking place among the country’s political elite. Back in November, we saw no less than ten politicians show up to dedicate a 6km-long bike path.
Second Hungary-Romania Motorway Crossing Inaugurated

The foreign ministers of Hungary and Romania inaugurated the second motorway border crossing between the two countries. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that the new link was a “shared success”, a basis for building “trust and mutual respect” between the two sides of the border.
