Back then, Hungary, particularly Lake Balaton, was a popular summer destination for tourists from East Germany and other parts of the eastern bloc but a little off the beaten path for most others. After Sunday, 16th June, not regarding the services in the evening of Saturday, 22nd June on the occasion of the Long Night of Museums, steam engine services and heritage railcar services are scheduled to resume only on Saturday, 17th August.
