In reaction to the heat wave, the national meteorological service has extended its heat warning issued earlier to several counties and raised its level to second degree. Maximum temperatures on Friday afternoon were expected to be at 30 to 33 °C , which will fall no lower than 19-24 °C late in the evening.

From 12 of July (Saturday) the boat lines D11, D12 and D13 will use their all stops, including Népfürdő utca, Meder utca, Haller utca and Óbudai-sziget which have been skipped due to low water level.
