Watch: Flood Closes Popular Forest Hiking Trails in Hungary for Weeks
Public access to the entire Gemenc Forest and nearby Danube floodplain areas of southern Hungary has been banned due to flooding in the vicinity of the towns of Mohács and Paks, effective June 14-30.

Hiking is allowed only outside the main Danube protection line, and cycling is restricted to an 18-kilometre embankment.

The Alföld Kéktúra trail and Gemenc State Forest Railway services are suspended until the end of June.
