The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a loan of EUR 100 million to MFB Magyar Fejlesztési Bank Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (MFB - Hungarian Development Bank) to finance small and medium-sized investments and infrastructure projects promoted by SMEs, midcap companies and public sector promoters in Hungary.

Ever since Magyar Nemzet received a facsimile of the Azeri promises concerning Ramil Safarov’s continued prison sentence, people in the opposition press kept asking why the Hungarian government was silent on the issue. If the Azeris went back on their word, why don’t the Hungarians protest and condemn the action of Azerbaijan?

Today I spent my third and final day at the Sziget Festival for this year. It was, unsurprisingly, a day of threes – third speech in Hungarian, policemen from three countries, three unexpected faces on Hungarian banknotes, and a meeting with three organisations. And Team GB remains third in the Olympic medals table. I am now passing the baton to three of the younger generation for the weekend.

"A small armed group attacked a MOL gas facility in Manzala, Pakistan, on February 11, MOL confirmed on Thursday. MOL said the assailants were routed thanks to the immediate and professional response of security forces and help from the local community. No-one was injured in the incident.
