Now he also wants companions in the New Year. Thus the idea of the "pig run" was born. The 4,5 km-long jogging will start in front of the Erzsebet Square fountain at 9:30 am on Saturday, 2 January 2016.

According to a recent survey conducted by K&H Bank, Hungarians spend 43 thousand forints (approx. €140) on average during Christmas shopping season, including 29 thousand forints spent on gifts and presents.

Prosecutors have ordered an investigation into the damaging of the Soviet memorial on Szabadság tér on October 23 by Jobbik MP Elõd Novák, state news channel M1 reported. Novák had attempted to remove the hammer and sickle from the monument after holding a press conference on the square. When police stopped him, Novák began to attack the plinth of the memorial with a hammer and chisel.
