The Scorpions Celebrate 60 Years in Budapest on 20 June

The legendary German rock band Scorpions celebrated their 60th anniversary this year with a massive concert in their hometown of Hanover, and next year they will once again embark on a tour to honor these magical, success-filled six decades. Naturally, the band has not forgotten its Hungarian fans: on June 20 they will shake the MVM Dome with their timeless hits.

The Prodigy is returning to Hungary after an eight-year hiatus, performing at a location steeped in local festival history. On July 4, 2026, the band will take the stage at the Lővérek in Sopron—the long-time home of the former VOLT Festival, where the group performed several legendary sold-out shows over the decades.

The Autumn Cultural Festival of the University of Szeged (SZTE) began on Wednesday 1 October, with the opening of an exhibition of nature photographs, concerts and light painting, during which three hundred, mostly free, programs await those interested in seventy locations over two months.

The Hungarian National Ballet will present three contemporary pieces in one evening under the title Bittersweet Comedies. Johan Inger's Walking Mad, Alexander Ekman's Cacti and Hans van Manen's 5 Tangos choreography will be performed four times between October 11 and 19 on the stages of the Eiffel Workshop and the Opera House in Budapest.
