An exhibition and associated website presenting Hungary’s 1956 revolution from the perspective of western diplomats opened at the British embassy. Britain’s ambassador Iain Lindsay said at a related press event that the job of the British diplomats and their Hungarian and British colleagues had been to observe and document the events taking place on the street at the time.
