Until 19 May. The best Hungarian press photography from 2017 is now on show at the Capa Center. Organized by the National Association of Hungarian Journalists (MÚOSZ), this exhibition has been a celebration of Hungarian press photographers and photography for over three decades, and a part of the Budapest Spring Festival for many years.

The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives invited young composers to enter the music competition based on the exhibition, Some Kind of Opposition… by Axel Braun. The selected scores will be performed in the framework of the concert entitled, Some Music, Something Else. The concert will be the closing event of the exhibition.
Bartók’s 135th Birth Anniversary Commemorated

A commemoration was held to mark the 135th birth anniversary of Hungarian composer Béla Bartók (1881-1945) in the Budapest Farkasrét Cemetery on Friday. “We must continue to duly preserve and further promote Bartók’s legacy,” the human resources minister told MTI after the event.

From the Island of Mohács the „devils” still come on boats, according to the legend. Those arriving by boats walk to Kóló Square to join the rest, and then all proceed through the streets, mixing in with the audience along the way.
