A Hungarian-French tennis doubles has beaten the duo leading tennis doubles world rankings 6-4 at a match in Rome. Hungarian tennis player Tímea Babos and her French pair Kristina Mladenovic beat Swiss-Indian doubles Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza in two sets, winning the Internazionali BNL d’Italia female tennis doubles competition in Rome on Sunday.

Portugal’s Bruno Pais triumphed in the men’s competition and Denmark’s Michelle Vesterby in the women’s competition at the Ironman triathlon race that Budapest hosted for the first time on Saturday. Hungary’s Erika Csomor and Anna Halász finished second and third in the women’s category.

The 2013 Lake Balaton cross swimming competition is planned to take place on Saturday 20 july 2013. By tradition the 5.2-kilometre competition starts at Révfülöp port and finishes at Platan beach in Balatonboglár. Participants are welcome to start swimming anytime between 8 am & 2 pm.

The modern game, formalized and popularized by the British, has now arrived to Hungary. Taking place at Kincsem Park, the “Polo Festival” was held, with Arena polo matches, fashion show, hat competition, pony riding and lots more.
