The greatest show of Hungarian photojournalism returns to the Capa Center in March. The 34th Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition is open to the public since 25 March. 'Nothing special' is the title given to one of the series awarded in this year’s Hungarian Press Photo Contest and Exhibition. These subtle, sensitive portraits filled with empathy depict marginalized people in society.

On display until 29 February: The UVG Art Gallery in Budapest is pleased to present the exhibition “The Inner Reflection” by Lars Schwander. Helmut Newton once said: "My job as a portrait photographer is to seduce, amuse and entertain." Something of the same nature is found in Schwander’s photographs.

For the first time in Europe the public is invited to the exhibition 'Moving Walls 22 / Watching You, Watching Me'. It explores how photography can be both an instrument of surveillance and a tool to expose and challenge its negative impact. The exhibition is at the Open Society Archives and will run until December 8 and will then travel to Berlin.

Until I came to this sensational exhibition at the Ludwig Museum I didn’t know I liked Pop Art. Basically I only knew Warhol’s Campbell Soup and Lichtenstein’s comic strips which are here as well, but I was unprepared for the arresting impact of this huge collection of art works whose artistic quality, it seems to me, outweighs what they call in marketing meetings here the “Vow Effect”.

This visiting exhibition makes 100 stops every year, making the World Press Photo tour of prize-winning pics the most popular traveling photo event in the world. Capa in Color presents the color work of the world-renowned Hungarian-born photographer taken between 1938 and 1954. The show was first exhibited in New York last year. This is the first time that the Capa Center cooperates with the International Center of Photography (ICP), one of the most distinguished photography institutions of the world.
