New Exhibition of Serbian, Hungarian Photographers Opens in Budapest
An exhibition of photographs of Belgrade and Budapest, works of a Hungarian and a Serbian photographer, respectively, opened in a Serbian-language school in Budapest.

At the opening event of the exhibition in the Nikola Tesla Serbian-language kindergarten, primary school and secondary school in Budapest, EU affairs minister Janos Boka pledged that the Hungarian presidency would do everything in its power to speed up Serbia's accession to the European Union.

The two countries are linked by their shared values, history and heritage, he said. "Hungary will be the bridge between Serbia and the European Union," he said.

"Applied nostalgia" is a project comprising a series of collaborations between a Serbian photographer and a counterpart from the country holding the EU's rotating presidency, aimed at promoting cultural values in each others' countries.

During Hungary's presidency, Serbian photographer Andela Stevanovic Zivkovic made photographs in Budapest and Anna Julia Molnar worked in Belgrade.
