In 2016, 2.46 million people in Hungary were either poor or at the risk of social exclusion, or 25.6 percent of the population, according to a Central Statistical Office (KSH) report. Data released on Friday shows that poverty and social exclusion eased by 0.7 percentage points compared with 2015.
