Finally folks can again visit Budapest’s ornate Opera House, via a 30-minute guided tour of the amazing building. With renovations still ongoing certain areas are still closed, but you can admire the lovely lobby, beautiful halls and salons - all details below.

Following the decision of the Hungarian Government, in accordance with WHO guidelines issued in response to the global health emergency, this year’s Budapest Spring Festival, the 40th instalment of the event series, will be cancelled.

The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess returns to the Met for the first time since 1990, in a new production directed by James Robinson in his company debut. America’s “folk opera,” as the 1935 creators described it, tells the story of disabled beggar Porgy, sung by Eric Owens, and his love for the drug-addicted Bess, portrayed by Angel Blue.

Every year since 2008, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Müpa Budapest have put on an all-day marathon production presenting the very best work of a given composer, with a series of consecutive concerts from morning until late evening in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre.
