As one of the Hungarian papers noted, she was the highest-ranking U.S. diplomat to visit Hungary since the summer of 2011, when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made a quick trip to Hungary.

The Hungarian Competition Authority approved the purchase of D.I.Y. chain Praktiker’s local stores by Hungarian Wallis group, according to a press statement issued. Wallis purchased Praktiker’s commercial business, real estate and brand at the beginning of the year.

A journalist with investigative website Direkt36 has been denied access to public data regarding who owns land around Felcsút, where the prime minister owns a house and other properties. A clerk at the Bicske sub-county land office was initially helpful, the reporter wrote, but then said she was not permitted to hand over any more files.
