Cheers: Soproni Brewery Celebrates 130 Years in Hungarian Beer Business
The Soproni Brewery, a member of the Heineken group, marked its 130th anniversary on Friday, 6 June.

At the celebration in Sopron (W Hungary), Heineken Hungaria CEO Nikos Zois said the brewery could turn out 2-2.3 million hectolitres a year.

Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy acknowledged Heineken Hungaria for efforts to revive local hops production in a programme in partnership with Hungarian Interchurch Aid. He said Hungary's beer culture was becoming more refined, offering stable demand for farmers.

Heineken Hungaria had revenue of HUF 92.6bn in 2024, public records show.
