Xpat Wine Club held its spring event at Veritas Wine Bar on Friday 27 April, with the usual mix of new and veteran expats from a range of countries as well as Hungarians, all lubricated by that truth-promoting tipple. As at all Xpat Wine Club events, the atmosphere was open and friendly, easing the way to make new contacts and relationships, both business and personal.

Readers and partners of XpatLoop came together at Veritas Winebar on Friday 27 April to celebrate the launch of the portal's new design. A great mix of expats from a wide range of countries, as well as some Hungarian movers and shakers, all enjoyed this Spring Networking Event in good spirits.

Jonathan Spinks moved to Budapest in 1999 and started working at BISB as a Class teacher before coming Head of Music. In 2015 he moved to Bali, Indonesia to take up the same role at an International Bilingual School.

In 2015 and 2017, Patrick won a translation grant from the Milán Füst foundation to support his work translating plays by Milán Füst (Boldogtalanok) and Sándor Bródy (A dada). He plans to continue his work as a literary translator and dreams of producing an anthology of classic Hungarian plays in his own English translations.
