Four unions of Hungarian air traffic controllers will join a strike action called for Jan. 30 by the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), Control, one of the unions, told MTI.ETF has called the strike action to protest against the European Commission’s reform plan, which it thinks will have negative impacts on air traffic controllers, including layoffs.

Budapest Airport and Ryanair have come up with a pleasant Christmas surprise enabling passengers to take onboard minor size duty free items purchased before departure. For the first time, small size duty free items will be allowed onboard Ryanair aircraft. This new rule comes in to effect as of 1st December 2013 on all flights of Ryanair across their network, including from Budapest Airport.
