During the renovations, vehicles will not be allowed on the upper departure level, and the boarding area on the lower arrival level will be reduced.
The 100E airport bus will relocate to the outer curve of the arrivals level but will continue to depart to the city centre from its current location. Buses not operated by the BKK must use the bus terminal instead of the departure level.
While all airport car parks remain open, travellers are encouraged to use the Terminal Car Park (green signs) and City Break Car Park (purple signs), both offering 5 minutes of free parking twice a day.
Disabled parking will remain available on the lower arrivals level.

Bridge leading to Terminal 2 and curbside to be refurbished - traffic changes
As the next stage in Budapest Airport’s series of airport developments, the bridge leading to Terminal 2 of Ferenc Liszt International Airport and the curbside area in front of the building will be refurbished.
During the works, from 20 February 2025, passengers will not be permitted to enter the departure (upper) level of the airport with a vehicle, while the area available for pickup and drop-off on the arrivals (lower) level will be reduced.
Budapest Airport recommends that passengers arriving by car use Terminal Parking, marked with green signs, and City Break Parking, marked with purple signs, which, like the curbside car park, can be used free of charge for up to 5 minutes, twice a day.
Until June 2025, the 100E bus is foreseen to arrive on the outer curbside on the arrivals level, instead of the closed upper level, and will depart to the city center from the usual location on the inner curve of the arrivals level.
Bus number 200E will use its usual stop during the renovation. Buses not operated by Budapest public transport service provider BKK will not be permitted to enter the departure level, but may use the Bus Terminal instead.
Budapest Airport will provide parking for passengers with reduced mobility who have a disabled parking card on the arrivals (lower) level during the refurbishment.
The spacious lifts within Terminal 2 will operate without disruption and Budapest Airport will continue to provide assistance to passengers with special needs during this period.
More information about the service is available on the following page: https://www.bud.hu/.../jarat.../specialis/specialis_igenyek
Due to the change in traffic conditions, the airport operator requests passengers to drive with increased caution at the airport, follow the changed road signs and arrive 2.5 hours before the departure of their flight. The airport operator asks for the understanding and patience of passengers during the works.
The refurbishment is expected to be completed by the end of June.
