The State Audit Office will not carry out audits “on demand” by political parties or any other organisations, the office said in response to opposition party PM’s call for an audit in connection with Hungary’s pavilion at the Milan World Expo. The office said in a statement that audits are carried out exclusively in line with a predefined schedule or on instruction by parliament or the government.

In his response to independent lawmaker Tímea Szabó in parliament, Seszták said the transport authority automatically certifies new cars based on approval by an EU member state regulator.

On 15 October, Magyar Broadcasting Co signed a contract with TV2 Media Group Holdings and CEE Broadcasting Holding to purchase a 100% stake in their businesses.
