Judgment in Hungary, a documentary about the trial of the serial murderers of Roma in Hungary from 2008-09, has received two awards at the Sarajevo film festival, writes vs.hu. Besides the award granted by the festival’s jury (chaired this year by the retired Hungarian director Béla Tarr) the film also received the Human Rights Award.

Ten organisations and an elderly lady received the award for their work for Hungarian communities abroad at a ceremony held in Parliament on Tuesday to mark the August 20 national holiday. Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén highlighted the unity and integrity of the Hungarian nation.

Hooters today announced Hungarian-native Nikolett Szollath as Miss Hooters World 2014. Szollath earned the title during the 18th annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last week.

Saint Margaret’s Anglican Episcopal Church was founded in Hungary in 1992 by the Rev. Canon Denis Moss, a New Zealander with British roots married to a Hungarian. Canon Dennis retired in 2011, and the church has been under the leadership of Father Frank since then.

Water polo has been in a serious crisis for many years. The game itself is a wonderful one, but let us be brutally honest, it is awfully boring to watch it, unless you are a retired player, who understands what is happening in the water, or you are a lady, who is only on the stands to catch a glimpse of the players’ athletic bodies.
