In response to complaints by producers of the Hungarian Holocaust drama Son of Saul, the German weekly Jüdische Allgemeine has corrected its interview with director László Nemes Jeles. The corrected version differs in its title and almost in its entire content from the original one which attributed fabricated answers to the director and provoked sharp criticism.

Danish toymaker Lego announced today that it will invest HUF 30 billion at its Hungarian plant in Nyíregyháza, to more than double the size of the factory, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Output of Hungary’s construction sector fell by an annual 0.2% in November 2015, the Central Statistical Office said on Friday. The decrease followed a 7.8% fall in the preceding month. Output of the buildings segment rose by 10.2% in November but output of the civil engineering segment slumped by 8%. In absolute terms, construction sector output came to 212.28 billion forints (EUR 674.4m).

Retail sales in Hungary could come close to 10,000 billion forints this year, the chief secretary of the National Association of Commerce (OKSZ) told public television. Retail sales have risen by 5%-6% on an annual basis, data published so far show, and the pace is likely to have continued in the last months of the year, György Vámos told news channel M1.
