During his more than 20-year hospitality career he has been working in several high-class properties, such as the Hilton Hotel Budapest and the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal as Director of Sales & Marketing, or the Ramada Plaza Hotel Budapest as General Manager.

Mr Griffin’s appointment as Ambassador to Hungary was announced by the Foreign Minister the Hon Kevin Rudd MP, on 12 May 2011. Mr Griffin presented his Credentials to HE Mr Pál Schmidt on 18 August 2011. Since 19 January 2012, Mr Griffin has been Ambassador (non-resident) to Romania.
