This year’s World Wrestling Championships begin at Budapest’s Papp László Sportarena today, running until Sunday. Nenad Lalovic, president of the International Wrestling Federation (FILA), told a Sunday press briefing in Budapest that FILA aims to make wrestling one of the most spectacular combat sports of the Olympics.

This international group rehearses weekly (Sunday evenings, from 5 to 8 pm) in Budapest’s 5th district, and gives concerts in some of Budapest’s finest churches. Brigitta Otvos beat 23 other finalists to be crowned Miss International Hungary 2013 at the conclusion of the pageant held at the Corinthia Hotel in the capital city of Budapest on August 31, 2013. She will represent Hungary in the upcoming Miss International 2013 pageant, scheduled to take place in Japan later this year.

On 22 August the first aircraft of Sólyom Hungarian Airways a Boeing B 737-500 type aircraft with code HA-SHA has arrived to Budapest. The aircraft first „saluted” its new home arbase with a low-level flypast and then landed at Runway 31L of Budapest Airport.
