Pallas Athéné University’s GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (Kecskemét, C Hungary) will establish a diode laser centre in consortium with applied research nonprofit company Bay Zoltán Alkalmazott Kutatási Közhasznú Nonprofit, Zoltán Weltsch, head of the university’s department for materials technology, told MTI.

A committee of the International Olympic Committee will visit Budapest between May 10-12 to conduct a review concerning the 2024 Summer Olympics, portal insidethegames.biz reported. The evaluation committee will also visit Los Angeles and Paris, the two other cities aspiring to host the games.

Budapest has been awarded the right to host the World Export Development Forum in 2017, Hungary’s foreign minister told MTI. Péter Szijjártó, who is attending the 16th forum in Sri Lanka, said winning the right to host the next one was a major commendation for Hungary, an open economy whose strength depends greatly on investments and exports.
