Hungary has been invited to attend one of the most prestigious culinary congresses in the world. The Gastronomika will take place in San Sebastián, Basque Country, from October 2 to 5, origo.hu reports. The Gastronomika began 18 years ago in San Sebastián, near the Spanish-French border.

A public TV announcer commenting on a broadcast of the Olympics yesterday failed to mention the name of a swimmer representing the Refugee Olympic Team, even after she won her heat, causing an outcry in the press and social media. The Helsinki Committee questioned if the omission was political, but the commentator blamed a technical error.

The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) has decided that the electronic ticket system being developed for public transport in the city is unworkable and will have to be overhauled before it has been introduced. Népszabadság says it reported three months ago that the Ft 28 billion electronic ticket system would have to be scrapped.

Here Comes The First Drone Delivery System In Hungary

According to orientpress.hu, the team of NetPincér is testing a drone food delivery system based on the example of Singapore. If the aerial couriers get brought into real action, then the delivery time could be reduced from the current 1 hour to 30 minutes. In a few years’ time the sight of drones flying in the air at 100-150 metres can become as natural as the sight of cars on the streets.
