On December 5, the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, in co-operation with the CDF, is holding an international conference accompanied by workshops, as a professional programme of the festival, in Jurányi Art Incubator House, titled Culture for Free? The Theatre of Hope? Myth and reality.

HAVASI Symphonic ranked 16 on the music industry standard popularity chart BILLBOARD TOP 100, and was elected number 9 by POLLSTAR, another leading publication of the music industry. This placed the Hungarian super production among the concerts of world stars, including Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Depeche Mode and Linkin Park.
FINA Gives Top Award To Hungarian Swimmer Katinka Hosszú

Katinka Hosszú of Hungary was elected Female Athlete of the Year by the international swimming federation FINA on Monday. Hosszú was presented with the distinction at a ceremony in the ballroom of the Hyatt Grand Hotel in Doha.

For All Ears Kate McIntosh sets up the stage as an improvised adhoc laboratory for a series of unusual recordings and acoustic experiments, using everyday objects and materials. Chairs are dragged, paper is torn, glasses are toppled. Sounds are gathered, recorded and played back – the action of one part of the performance providing soundtrack, background or atmosphere for another.
