A good group of expats in Budapest have set up a food bank for those in need coming from Ukraine, they aim to feed as many people as possible who are clearly in need of this support service.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Friday marked the 20th anniversary of the House of Terror Museum, which he said represented the oppressed. “Its establishment meant that truth and lies were no longer defined by Communists but by those who were trampled by the regime,” he said.

The beautifully illuminated and decorated Advent tram of the northern Hungarian city of Miskolc was voted the Most Beautiful in Europe for the 5th time by the Czech transport magazine MHD86.cz. Second place went to the Pilsen tram, the third to the tram of Prague.

Hungary's 'Anti-LGBTQ' Law Violates Fundamental Human Rights, says Venice Commission

The Venice Commission has said amendments to Hungary’s child protection law were “incompatible” with international human rights norms. In a statement on Monday, the Strasbourg body said it was regrettable that the law which came into force in June had been passed hastily and without prior consultation with civil society, the opposition or other stakeholders.
