On Friday 27 November at 7 p.m. at Hanmadang Korean Cultural Center In Budapest. Hyejin Quartet - Jazz vocalist Hyejin is an orthodox jazz musician who succeeded to the legacy of jazz while enlightening music lovers on the essence of jazz. She had long trod the road to classic pianist, but after studying in U.S. which is the home of jazz, she definitely turned to jazz vocalist.

This year’s annual XpatLoop birthday bash in the Corinthia’s Grand Ballroom will be supporting UNICEF Hungary, Lions Club of Budapest and the local Csodalámpa (Magic Lamp) Foundation, which since 2003 has acted on more than 2686 wishes by 3- to 18-year-old Hungarian children who have life-threatening illnesses.

This year’s WOMEX world music festival wound up with an awards ceremony at the Palace of Arts in Budapest. The Artist Award went to Cheikh Lo, a Senegalese musician. The Professional Excellence Award was presented to Ramin Sadighi, a promoter of Iranian music through his label Hermes Records. Glitterbeat took the Label Award, for the second year in a row.
