Under this emblematic title, DOWN Association has auctioned a collection of 30 paintings in KOGART House, on 21st November, 2012. It was a contemporary painting auction and gala dinner for charity, to support early intervention for children with Down Syndrome. One of the most important missions of the Association is the early integration of all disabled children among their healthy fellows.

A few days ago an article appeared in HVG about the teaching of Hungarian history. The author rightly pointed out that it has been flawed for a very long time. I agree. Hungarians have a warped view of their country’s past.

New Gödör Klub In Budapest Opens On 30th November

Not an entire year has passed since the crew of Gödör Klub had to leave the place that had given its name to the club; a hole in the ground in the middle of Erzsébet square. Iván Bába, Administrative State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ilan Mor, Ambassador of Israel in Hungary, opened the exhibition „Visa for Life” in the main building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs November 13. The exhibition commemorates diplomats who rescued many persecuted Jews during the Second World War by risking, and even at times sacrificing, their own lives.
