Middlemist Red & The Wild Bunch Orchestra, Palace of Arts Budapest, 7 June
Middlemist Red, who are one of the most significant Hungarian bands of recent decades and have also achieved notable success internationally, released their third album in December 2020.

The Other Side of Nowhere features synthesized psychedelic rock with striking elements of electronic and folk music.

During this album launch concert, the songs - which take the narrative of an imaginary Western film - will be performed on a more grandiose scale than ever before with the help of The Wild Bunch Orchestra, formed especially for the occasion and led by Márton Erős.

After a four-year period packed full with international tours and festival appearances, Middlemist Red return with a new album. It is immediately clear that the band have become even more polished through their years of concert playing, successfully taking the floating, soaring songs of their first two albums and enhancing their sound with the kind of influences that may be familiar from the projects of their frontman, Soma Nóvé, the folk-rock Mordái and the darker electronic rock blend of Samurai Drive. In these fresh songs from the other side of nowhere, electronica takes on a mysterious film noir-style role, while notable folk music characteristics and Western film score aesthetics are driven forward by the inimitable Middlemist style.

A dynamism, tempo and tension in their play and dramatic effects will also accompany the hero of the songs as he is brought to life during the album launch.

Live, the big screen sound of the songs will be enhanced with the help of The Wild Bunch Orchestra - whose name, of course, also fits the Wild West theme - led by Márton Erős, an expert marksman of orchestral instrumentation.
