Szakcsi - Regály - Balázs Hammond Trio, Opus Jazz Club Budapest, 17 July
It is always exciting when, after many decades, a master and his disciple meet again, now as colleagues, and the accumulated experience are discussed in a musical dialogue. This encounter is especially exciting when two musicians are playing between the same instrument.

György Regály, assistant professor of jazz at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, graduated from Béla Szakcsi Lakatos in 1987, and although he has since traveled the world as a pianist and Hammond organist from China to the Netherlands to India, he did not play with his former teacher.

This time we can hear them in an unusual line-up: Béla Szakcsi Lakatos plays Fender Rhodes, György Regály Hammond organ, and Elemér Balázs on drums. In their repertoire, we can hear jazz evergreens in unusual festive lighting, carefully selected from hard bop, bebop and contemporary jazz era, imbued with the joy and freshness of reunion.
